STAYC vs StayC[edit]

My edit in which I changed all mentions of "StayC" to "STAYC" was recently reverted by HDORS (talk · contribs). However, there is no mention of this formatting on the official twitter, company website, or any other official channels. There are some articles that refer to them as "StayC," but it's never an official spelling. Additionally, as the group-name is an acronym (Star to a Young Culture), it falls in line with other K-pop groups to format their name in all-caps (VIXX, NU'EST). As I have edited and it's been reverted, I believe we are now meant to discuss. If there is any reason for the name to remain as "StayC" please let me know. Requested move 30 April 2021[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: Moved because no one disagree. In addition, though it's pronounced as "Stay-C", but it's not reason to use lowercase letter (non-administrator close) [ Talk to me ] Show! Music Core and more favorite 14:36, 7 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

StayCSTAYC – The current page title is incorrect, as per MOS:CAPSACRS and WP:COMMONNAME. STAYC stands for Star To A Young Culture as per the group official website. In addition, this is the commonly used styling, as seen in Forbes, NME, Apple Music, Spotify, Newsen, Herald Pop, YTN and Sports Donga to name a few. The move would put the title inline with other group articles in which their name is acronym of something such as BTS, NU'EST, VIXX, NCT, U-KISS, TEEN TOP, MBLAQ and many more. Controversy Regarding Plagiarism[edit]

Given that there has been much back and forth revision editing, I think it's best to open a page on the inclusion of the "plagiarism controversy" on STAYC's page. I find that the sources provided are not particularly notable to the group but rather to the production company, as in both articles it specifically states that the production company, Legend Film, was the one to issue the apology. Neither HighUp Entertainment nor STAYC have commented on the matter, and I find it hard to justify its inclusion on the Wikipedia page about the group, especially in a section all on its own. For instance, the controversy about Red Velvet's music video for Happiness had considerably more sources yet remains within the main text of the article rather than a separate controversy section. This honestly feels like an attempt to slander STAYC rather than a genuine effort to improve the quality of the group's wikipedia page, given that their previous two comebacks have a single sentence each. Am happy to hear other's thoughts about this. Lukestepford (talk) 17:55, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

How is this "slander"? If it was accurate to the facts being reported by reliable sources, it is not slander. WP:NOTCENSORED Evaders99 (talk) 02:02, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@J. Smile (Love & V.A.V.I) Firstly, please read WP:BRD. Secondly, the information like Luke have mentioned is pertaining to the production company rather than group nor the group agency (HighUp Entertainment). Such information definitely doesn't require a dedicated section but can/may be mentioned briefly in the History/Career section. The entire section should only be included in So Bad (STAYC song), this is the same approach taken for Happiness (Red Velvet song), as both are pertaining/concerning the song's music video. Where's Bubble?[edit]

It's 2024 and no one bothered to put the info of their latest 2023 comeback? I'd do it, but I have problems finding an appropriate citation for it. 「HypeBoy」TALK 03:17, 20 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
