Misleading paragraph[edit]

"Bill James, along with other fathers of sabermetrics, proved this measure to be flawed as it ignores any other way a batter can reach base besides a hit.[13] This led to the creation of the On-base percentage, which takes walks and hit-by-pitches into consideration. To calculate the On-Base percentage, the total number of hits + bases on balls + hit by pitch are divided by plate appearances.[14]"

This is a fairly misleading sentence as it implies OBP is a relatively new invention and Bill James played a part in its development. In reality it was created in the 1950's by Allan Roth of the Dodgers and has been an official stat since the early 80's.

Fantasy Batter Value link/new page[edit]

(I'm not 100% sure how reliable this source is, but after googling "Fantasy Batter Value," this was the best hit, however unclear it may be to someone who doesn't understand sabermetrics.)

FBV = TB - H + (3/2SB) + (RCpG) / AB + (SO%*100)^[1]
