Memoirs[edit]

I think someone should reveal what was the issue about the memoirs, that made her mother Shirley MacLaine call them 'virtually all fiction'. Valetude (talk) 18:54, 3 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

On the Shirley MacLaine page it says that "Their daughter said that when she was in her late twenties, her mother revealed her belief that an astronaut named Paul was Sachi's real father, not Steve Parker." I have no idea about the truth of this: the reference reports only that Sachi believed this - that her mother had said this - and does not help with verifying the truth (or otherwise) of the story. "Sachiko"[edit]

Is this actually part of her birth name, or does it derive from the whole "sent to live in Japan" thing? I can't see why two Americans would give their daughter the middle name Sachiko for no reason. It makes sense that she was given the name whilst in Japan, but that's not indicated here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.109.212.25 (talk) 00:25, 30 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
