Too many characters[edit]

The main article has too many characters listed. Not every minor or guest character needs to be mentioned; it makes it very difficult to distinguish who has a major role in the series. If the author writes a cast profile in front of each volume, that can help reduce the list. Also, the spellings need to be reviewed as some point to the version used in the general Journey to the West stories instead of what is listed in the manhua. -AngusWOOF (talk) 07:08, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I've copyedited what I could from the article. The characters have been grouped as much as possible. There are still some major sections that need to be addressed, such as how many volumes and chapters were published and when this all took place. Is it an ongoing series?
