Deletion[edit]

The cultural references are fairly good, but this article is very weak. Perhaps if someone could add information concerning the Greyhound that was previously deleted it could be added to this article and a better one could be created? Otherwise it's probably not worth keeping as a stand-alone article in Wikipedia. --Willscrlt 02:25, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Contradiction[edit]

There are two contradictory statements in the table on the right. The third row states that a salty dog is served "Straight up; without ice." However, the last row states that the drink is strained into a "glass filled with ice." I believe the third row should state that a salty dog is served "On the rocks; poured over ice." This would be consistent with the IBA recipe for a salty dog, and with the Wikipedia terminology used to describe other drinks that are also served with ice. --ChezChas (talk) 07:15, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
