I think you'll find that Jimmy Seed was our manager (and our most successful one too), not our scout.

Angus/Anthony Seed[edit]

Please note: Angus Seed was not Charlton's chief scout in the north east, he was manager of Aldershot at the time Sam was playing for Boldon Colliery. Anthony Seed, another of Jimmy Seed's brothers, was Charlton's chief scout in the north east until Jimmy was sacked as Charlton manager in 1956. Source: The Jimmy Seed Story.
