Hajji Piruz, Lankaran is located in Azerbaijan, the historical region which spans from Derbend to Hamadan, according to several sources with which you were presented. Thus your replacement of Azerbaijan with Baku or Elisabethpol governorate on every page (literally rampage through Wikipedia), is absolutely baseless. Similarly Tabriz is and was part of historical Azerbaijan, although we also call it a city in Iran. No such entity existed in 7 - 16th century as Persia or Iran, nevertheless, there are references on several pages, which say refer to birthplaces as Iran or Persia.Atabek 20:31, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Context Atabek, its all about the context. Who says that someone born in Byzantium 1500 years ago was born in Istanbul Turkey? Wikipedia is supposed to be as ACCURATE as we can make it, no POV interpretations and inclusions please.Hajji Piruz 01:05, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually the name of the city was Constantinople, and there is no problem with citing that. The problem with your suggestion is that Baku was called the same way since it was first ever established till today, so it does not really matter what political formation it belonged to. This kind of POV and battling along national (that's pretty much anti-Azerbaijani) lines is absolutely irrelevant and not quite productive on this page. Atabek 01:11, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
