External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Sammy Kershaw. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Last Name[edit]

Hello: it is a fact that Sammy’s last name at birth was Cashat, not Kershaw. Doug Kershaw is his cousin, and he adopted Kershaw as his last name once he became a professional musician. I have no knowledge if he ever legally changed it to Kershaw. My question is, how should this be reflected in this article? Frank042316 (talk) 18:55, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't found any sources saying as such. He's listed as "Sammy Kershaw" on BMI, which usually gives full legal names. And a search for other sources calling him "Cashat" came up empty. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 19:51, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I reverted back to my good faith post, and added a ref of the obituary from a local paper from the time of his father’s death. It lists ‘Samuel’ as a Cashat, along with all of his siblings. I also went to school with Sammy and was in his class in high school. Like I said with my first post, it is a fact that he was born Cashat, not Kershaw. He began using Kershaw as his music career started. Frank042316 (talk) 20:53, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
