Chronology problem[edit]

The text says that he was active during the Revolution (1775-1783); however, according to Worthington's book, cited in this Wiki article (p. 108), this person died in 1755; his son is stated in his Wiki article to have been born in 1761, which is not possible if the father died in 1755... so more research is needed. And there is another later Samuel Dexter, presumably the son of the one born in 1761... --FeanorStar7 10:28, 19 July 2019 (UTC)

Nice catch, Fenostar! The minister had a son with the same name as well who served in Massachusetts politics. That's (at least) three Samuel Dexters. I've made the correction. --Slugger O'Toole (talk) 13:00, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
