Kinsey's views[edit]

I removed this because it didn't fit in the flow of the article, and maybe gives undue weight to this particular position which wasn't necessarily central for Kinsey. Obviously, it would be ideal to expand a whole section on Kinsey's ideas. Feel free to add this fragment back in the future as you see fit. Daask (talk) 02:10, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nouns for periodicals[edit]

What might be the noun for the genre of The Vindicator, appropriate to this era? Periodical is fine, but is repetitive without using synonyms. Magazine? Broadsheet? Monthly? Daask (talk) 02:12, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Context of early Brethren publishing[edit]

This article should mention other periodicals. It's not fair to mention unauthorized periodicals as a cause of the 1880s split while only mentioning The Vindicator. Daask (talk) 02:14, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Source bias[edit]

Note that I included a self-published work (Miller, 1973). I strongly defend this as necessary to deal with the systematic bias caused by available sources. Most of the works in this article were written and published by Brethren Press, an arm of the Church of the Brethren, from which Kinsey and the Old German Baptist Brethren split. I urge a low standard of WP:RS be held for works authored or published by Old Orders, including contemporary authors such as Michael Hari. Daask (talk) 02:30, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Web sources[edit]

I did a quick internet search before I published this article, because I have found this difficult to do after publishing due to Wikipedia mirrors. I only glanced at them briefly, but here they are:
