Folk lore[edit]

This was my mothers birth place. I remember so many stories, lost money in a church and a bank, a locomotive engine never found and so many more. One in particular of a cowboy with a swimming horse that rescued several people from flood waters stranded on the roof of the Harvey house. Several generations of my family are buried in that cemetery. Today it is mostly overgrown with mesquite and grease wood. I’m sure the few photos I have seen don’t do the once thriving town justice.
