Sculptures on the Sandridge Bridge
The glass panels contain information about each country from which Melbourne has immigrants from.

I've uploaded a couple of photos of the bridge to Commons, but I can't think of a way to fit them into the article. Here they are, if anyone else has any ideas, or if sufficient content is added to make room without cluttering up the article. invincible 07:16, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Added some secondary references to the article. I have added the photos as a gallery, so they are on the page. Perhaps the layout can be improved some more by someone else...--Takver 15:37, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Film Set[edit]

I removed this section because, to expand on my edit comment, it was the footbridge between the Sandridge bridge and St. Kilda Rd. that featured in the Ghost Rider movie. The white arch of this footbridge is unmistakable. If that shot was filmed from the eastern (St. Kilda Rd) end with the Sandridge Bridge behind it, it's sillouette may have been vaguely visible but I don't think it warrants a mention in this article. I took many photos of the film set during those two weeks on my way from work while the bridge was closed to the public. Even though it was a night shoot of a night scene, they had the place lit up like a prison during a mass breakout. And there was no focus on Sandridge Bridge - it was all on the footbridge. There were thousands of witnesses! - Rick69p 13:20, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Now that you mention it, I recall the photos in the Herald Sun of the film set, platforms at Flinders Street in the background. A collective memory wipe having it stay in for so long... ;-) Wongm —Preceding signed but undated comment was added at 13:28, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There are a couple of videos on Youtube where people have done a tour of the Ghost Rider locations around Melbourne. (I searched "Ghost Rider Melbourne".) Footbridge is mentioned but not Sandridge Bridge. Geez, how sad is it that I'm citing Youtube as a source! Good thing it's only here in the talk page rather than the main article, huh? The scene was when he saved the girl. He rides over the bridge then goes underneath. Unmistakeably the Sandridge Bridge. [1] See for yourself. --Biatch (talk) 13:08, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
