Defining population date[edit]

When populations are quoted it would be appreciated if the year of the population estimate or count is given. Quoting a local council website is of no use if the precise figure cannot be found quickly. We don't want to know when to put out the rubbish; we want a piece of information that the council hides in the depths of its website--if it has not, since the reference was made, rewritten its website altogether omitting any local history. --Oldontarian (talk) 07:11, 27 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
