When to move?[edit]

The team name is no longer Saunier Duval–Scott, but Team Scott certainly hasn't become "the most commonly recognised name", and it is hoped that Scott will not be the only/main name sponsors for long. So should it be moved? Kevin McE (talk) 21:25, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't the article Saunier_Duval be about the appliance company now, instead of redirecting to a cycling team they no longer sponsor? /Coffeeshivers (talk) 16:08, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
According to the article, Saunier Duval is a brand: the company making/marketing that brand are redlinked. Until they have taken part in several high profile races, the Scott-American Beef team name will not be well known. Many riders and races have links to the Saunier Duval page, and will not expect to see information about water heaters. So no, I don't think that that would be useful. Possibly a disambiguation page? - historically people may want to see cycling stuff for years to come - but once things have truly settled down, it won't make much sense for Saunier Duval to be primarily cycling. A disambiguation could happen now - and be updated once team name has been conirmed 86.16.168.115 (talk) 11:03, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Did this team[edit]

ever actually race as "Scott-American Beef?" I can't ever recall seeing that in results, and the time between Saunier Duval dropping sponsorship and Scott also dropping sponsorship was only a few months. And what of "American Beef" as a sponsor, for that matter? Nosleep break my slumber 06:21, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, they did. SeveroTC 13:31, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Those so-called "wins"[edit]

the wikipedia page states that they won 3 stages last year in the tour de france. this is a lie, in my opinion. the riders tested positive after the stage wins so maybe they should be deleted? thoughts? i have put in a note thing to states that they are both cheats but should it go further and just got rid of the wins from the system. I apologise if i sound strong about it Phil_NolteTC 20:02, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I can tell, the wins still have not been officially revoked (see 2008 Tour de France). Therefore, I think your note addition is valid, but they should not be deleted yet. These things tend to take an incredible amount of time to be finalized. Malo0178 (talk) 20:15, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
so the uci has released new sanctions so i think he needs some strikethroughs on some results
"The UCI has announced that the former Movistar rider was found guilty of doping from 2009 and 2011, based on abnormalities in his biological passport."[1] Troyeseffigy (talk) 22:10, 13 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
