1950s and 1970s[edit]

In the 1950s there was a large Japanese community south of the Veterans Administration centered on Sawtell. Many of my elementary school classmates were Japanese. By the mid 1970s most of the Japanese businesses were gone. My blue eyed blond friend was the janitor for the Japanese Gardener Association in the mid 1970s, and it was the only Japanese facility on Sawtell that I knew of thenSaltysailor (talk) 02:23, 20 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
