Social Media as a Marketing Tool[edit]

The social media subsection is surprisingly short, given the significant role it played in promoting the show and engaging viewers. I want to discuss how social media was leverage to market Scandal, but I'm not sure if a new subsection for marketing should be added under the release section, or if the social media subsection should simply be expanded on. --Wikiedits32 (talk) 18:42, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I expanded Social Media to discuss how social media helped Scandal become popular. Some of the links that I added were tagged as disambiguation links. Comment - What if people may refer to the South Korean series as just "Scandal"? Is there need to move that to "The Scandal (South Korean TV series)" and the U.S. one to "Scandal (U.S. TV series)"? RMXY (talk) 14:28, 13 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Support the presence of absence of "The" isn't really distinguishing when it comes to media and partial disambiguation as they are normally interchangeable. At least the 1st one needs moving as relying on the absence doesn't generally indicate a distinct topic per WP:SMALLDETAILS. Yes when you have generic/original meanings and media its often appropriate similar to Battle of Maldon/The Battle of Maldon but it probably doesn't work here. Besides "The" being a sufficient disambiguator per WP:SMALLDETAILS, the title currently without "The" is not referred to as "The Scandal" in context, so contrary to this move request, there should be no reason to assume "The Scandal" refers to "Scandal (American TV series)".
