I don't think that the literal translation "sheath money" is correct here. There's a German word other than "Scheide" (meaning sheath) with the same word stem. It is the verb scheiden which, in English, means to (de)part, divide, separate or even divorce. This term also translates the phrase "Scheiden von Käufer und Verkäufer auf Heller und Pfennig beim Kaufvorgang" from the German article more correctly -- which, loosely phrased, means the parting of seller and buyer each with the correct amount of money. 85.179.233.250 (talk) 10:17, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
