People from Schiedam[edit]

Why should Familie Meijnckens from Belgium (!) be added to this section?

Why is "egg" listed? Not only is it not a person, it links to an ambiguous page..

Vandalism: People from Schiedam[edit]

I came across this while trying to fix links to 'egg'. There seem to have been a lot of changes made to the 'people' section from anonymous users which don't really make sense. I've fixed the ones that were changed when egg was added (and two legitimate names were removed), but I think the whole list needs to be checked. I may come back to do that later, but I'm still working on the 'egg' links. Alfirin 09:36, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Link not working[edit]

Sixth windmill[edit]

In Schiedam recently De Kameel (The Camel) was completed. There ar six historical windmills now. It is a replica of an old windmill with the same name. Sorry the Windmillsite is a little slow. They are still talking about rebuilding, but it's ready now. Salix2 (talk) 22:05, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Time traveling medieval people[edit]

Heya,

The history section states that in 1309, the mouth of the Schie was dammed, and in 1275 Schiedam got town rights. I don't think that time line adds up. As far as I know, the Schie was dammed around 1230, while 1309 was the year Rotterdam got its town rights. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.173.146.165 (talk) 14:39, 4 February 2019 (UTC)

Twin towns – Sister cities[edit]

Why are all these contacts under review after a decision of the municipal council on 4 February 2010 ? Does Schiedam support the destabilization of Europe, after gaining from it? Was the past always so attractive? Who is the engine behind all this?
