Pretty much noone calls it "Schlachteplatte" in Germany (if so, it must be some idiom from northern Germany). It's usually "Schlachtplatte" with "Schlachtschüssel" and "Metzgete" being rather local idioms. "Metzgete" in the Alemannic regions of Southern Germany and Switzerland can also mean the process of slaughtering and/or the accompanying festival.
