Scholae[edit]

What happened to the previous Scholae article which was here in mid-October? Scholae now redirects to Scholae Palatinae article, a completely different article. Athaenara 09:56, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree! Revert undone. --FlammingoParliament 19:51, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Flammingo! Shouldn't you get a barnstar for that? The Scholae article needs work, but the redirect to Scholae Palatinae had simply buried it, making it utterly inaccessible not merely to readers but to anyone intent upon improving it! Athaenara (talk) 03:08, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sure thing, anytime! ;-) And: go ahead! :-D --FlammingoParliament 14:28, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation of the term "Palatine School" is needed[edit]

I have been searching for information concerning the "Palatine School" that was apparently one of the three schools latter consolidated to form the University of Paris. I followed a link to this page from the article on the "Great Schism" ("East-West Schism"). This page appears unrelated to that school. The school seems to have been founded at the behest of Charlemagne and influenced by Alcuin. The link either appears to be in error or the article on this page omits information on palace schools after about 420CE. A link to the article on "Carolingian Renaissance" would be more informative, or this article could be expanded to elaborate the evolution from military schools to general studies schools. A disambiguation page may be needed for the phrase "Palatine School". Wfholden (talk) 00:10, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
