Do these rings move with the eye? Or are they rigid to skull?[edit]

Do all fish, birds, and non-crocodilian reptiles have these? Amphibians?[edit]

Implications for behavior[edit]

The article on pterosaurs says,

Comparisons between the scleral rings of pterosaurs and modern birds and reptiles have been used to infer daily activity patterns of pterosaurs;
