Ready for article?[edit]

@SounderBruce: Is this ready to move to mainspace? - Brianhe (talk) 00:58, 19 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Brianhe: By no means, yet. I can probably bump it up my priority list once the election season is over. SounderBruce 01:12, 19 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ready for an article #2[edit]

I think this is ready. Ethanbas (talk) 16:40, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The following tasks need to be done before this article can be moved:
  • Conversion of bulleted lists into prose.
  • The addition of text explaining each program, funding measures, and major projects.
  • A more detailed history section.
  • Descriptions of city-adopted transportation policies and their implementation.
  • Criticism of SDOT and its programs.
As such, I don't think this article is ready. SounderBruce 02:14, 25 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
While the above task are surely desirable, this is already clearly notable, and getting other editors to collaborate is more likely in the main article space. The draft has not been edited in close to a month, and that was by me. It has not been edited by anyone other than me since early June 2017, now over two months ago. It has not been edited by SounderBruce since February 2017, more than 6 months ago. Insisting that he sign off on a move to mainspace, when the draft clearly passes the basic criteria (that it is unlikely to be deleted at an AfD, meets basic notability standards, has more than the minimum required sourcing, is not a copyvio, and is generally policy-compliant) is starting to approach a violation of WP:OWN. Ethanbas what do you think? Does anyone else have a view? DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 02:44, 21 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. SounderBruce, if you wish to edit the draft before it's published to mainspace, you should give a time period by which you'll do that; we don't want to let the draft sit here forever. Ethanbas (talk) 02:52, 21 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'll go a bit further. Absent any response here in a week, I will move this to mainspace. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 04:16, 21 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Now that I've returned home, I'd like to ask for a little good faith. I don't intend to hog the article until the end of time, but I would like to have more information collected before writing. Writing about a large city department requires quite a lot of library visits and hunting through government archives, both of which I have to limit due to my distance to many facilities. I can slim down the article for it to reach the main namespace immediately while working on further improvements in user space, but that would jeopardize a possible DYK (which I aim to take this article to).
