Addressing some issues[edit]

This article was flagged with lots of issues, and I decided to try to help. I revised the description. Some of the text was simply repeated from the organization's website, which needed to be more neutral.

I also changed the official website to the current one, and added the 2018 revenues, which were quite substantial. More edits to come, along with some great news stories that I found. This organization is definitely notable, but that needs to be shown with more outside sources.

Addressed remaining issues[edit]

Here's a summary of my last edit:

  • added fundraising section
  • added notable rescues
  • added history
  • expanded programs; added communities served by spay/neuter program

I removed the section outlining awards received personally by the cofounder Christiansen, as they seemed more about her than about the organization. I found an updated link to the Edmonton Journal article that no longer worked, on that topic; it provided good history about the org that I added.

I removed the "other reading" section which linked various news articles, many out of date; rather than listing books written on the topic.

After that extensive edit, I removed the numerous cautions that were flagged at the top of the page.
