I have added additional information that can be founded in the In Pursuit of a Better Seed Trap PDF in the reference section of the article. This is includes very sparse information on the different types of seed traps and choosing a trap. My hope is to add to these sections later. I am contemplating whether it is necessary to transfer the information on how to construct different types of traps from the In Pursuit of a Better Seed Trap PDF on to this article. Would that be reasonable?

I am still in search for more references to add information to this article. Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Thanks for adding more content. Here are some other possible sources:
  • Gösta Kjellsson; Vibeke Simonsen (1997). Methods for Risk Assessment of Transgenic Plants: Pollination, gene-transfer, and population impacts. Birkhäuser. pp. 163–. ISBN 978-3-7643-5696-5. Retrieved 22 April 2012.

  • I found those searching in google books.

Actually, this would also be good. SmartSE (talk) 16:59, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

Thank you! Those referances have been helpful! I have continued to update some sections using that material. My hopes are to add some pictures and more material! I am still open to more website links and suggestions! Shbracken (talk) 20:23, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

I have added a section for potential information about fruit traps because they are similar to seed traps.

Does anyone have any personal experience with seed or fruit traps? Shbracken (talk) 01:03, 3 May 2012 (UTC)

I've seen them, but never used them. I doubt there is anyone else reading this, but someone might if you ask at WT:PLANTS. That said, to write a good article, all you should need are sources, rather than prior knowledge. I didn't know anything about most things I've written about before I started writing the article. I have continued to add some information to expand on the different types of traps. Maybe eventually this wiki could state which type of trap is the most affective. In the meantime there is still plenty of research to do. I have also added links to pictures (if someone wants to put them in proper form, please do so) and some referances and links (same with the pictures, if someone wants to put them in proper form, please do). In the meantime along with my research, I have stumbled upon many books, journals, and articles that seem to have loads of information about seed traps in them. Here are the links to those: http://www.jstor.org/discover/10.2307/3898740?uid=3739656&uid=2129&uid=2&uid=70&uid=4&uid=3739256&sid=47698966452867 http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/0028825X.1994.10410367#preview http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1654-1103.2011.01376.x/abstract There are many more.

Happy Researching!!!

Looking great! Do you think you can add inline citations though so that readers can see which of the references information has come from? Just writing the authors name in brackets is fine, but if you want to learn, hopefully Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners explains everything you need to know. SmartSE (talk) 00:48, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
