Trivia[edit]

Moved from article to talk:

In early 2013 the town made headlines when one of its residents was swallowed up by a sinkhole that grew under his bedroom.[1] Later in August 2015, the same sinkhole opened up again following heavy rains in the area.[2]

In August 2017, Seffner made the headlines again when its confederate memorial was vandalized. After this incident, the citizens of Seffner spent hours scrubbing off the red paint that covered many names. [3]

  • Keep in mind the confederate memorial was built in 2009, is not a historical monument, and is not approved of by many of the locals. The "citizens who spent hours scrubbing off the red paint" were confederate sympathizers.

In late 2018, a lost Husky from Brooklyn was found in Seffner after unexplainably traveling 1,200 miles for 18 months. [4]
