Sefton Park is not a district of Liverpool. It is a large park within the borders of Toxeth. It has no centre as it it is merely a park, nothing else. Sub-districts surround the park. The district of Toxteth is formed by the borders of the ancient township of Toxteth Park with Sefton Park clearly inside. ref: Griffiths History of Toxteth Park

Those who live in the district, and the City Council, would beg to differ. For example, it's part of some postal addresses, there being one street I know of which shares its name with two other streets in Liverpool -- the park makes the distinction in the address (along with the postcode of course) and the council, in documentation using the address, agrees! This is not to prejudice the discussion about whether or not the district is within another entity called Toxteth -- although in fact the sign welcoming people to Toxteth on Croxteth Drive is AFTER the entrance to the park, by the way. 81.178.67.229 (talk) 17:33, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
