Problem with formula typing and the figure:

Why the text appears, if I type

$X$ of photons in the laser cavity and number $~Y~$ of excitations

and produces [?], if I try to force variables to be printed with the same font:

$~X~$ of photons in the laser cavity and number $~Y~$ of excitations

Figure disappear is I try to make it larger. Is it a bug at my computer, or other users see the same?

I would upload more figs, but I twanted to understand, what do I wrong, why the figures do not appear as follows... dima 07:24, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Title change[edit]

I think this laser behavior is more commonly referred to as relaxation oscillations or laser spiking. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.110.186.210 (talk) 14:08, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
