This article needs big changes based on this update[edit]

See this June 2017 article for a discussion of how Sentience Politics is no longer a part of the Effective Altruism Foundation. There are now two separate organizations, Sentience Politics focused on "political campaigning in Switzerland" and Sentience Institute focused on "research and outreach on effective strategies to expand humanity’s moral circle to include all sentient beings."
