Untitled[edit]

I live in Serangoon Gardens, and I rarely see super cars or "trend setters", etc. Also, a lot of the recent additions make broad-sweeping claims with no citations nor substantiation, and also transform the page from being of encyclopaedic quality to that of a travel brochure.

I recommend a lot of cleanup, and addition of citations. --Wdyoung (talk) 17:33, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have done some cleaning up. As you are a resident I urge you to do any further editing you think is necessary. Best wishes --Greenmaven (talk) 21:43, 15 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

What is the "correct" (or most commonly used) name of the neighborhood? The article inconsistently refers to it as Serangoon Garden (singular), Serangoon Gardens (plural) as well as Serangoon Garden Estate (with capital e).

"Official" or government-named entities seem to prefer Serangoon Garden (singular):

  • Serangoon Garden Way
  • Draft Master Plan 2013 brochure published by the Urban Redevelopment Authority
  • Singapore Post - Serangoon Garden Branch
  • Serangoon Garden Neighbourhood Police Post
  • Serangoon Garden Market & Food Centre
  • Serangoon Garden Secondary School

Whereas privately owned entities seem to prefer Serangoon Gardens (plural):

  • Serangoon Gardens Country Club
  • OCBC Serangoon Gardens Branch
  • Standard Chartered Bank Branch @ Serangoon Gardens
  • HSBC Serangoon Gdns Branch

Though there are exceptions:

  • UOB Branch - Serangoon Garden Branch

Serangoon Garden Estate (with capital e) seems to be mostly used by real-estate agents. ehn (talk) 05:58, 6 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
