Convicted of murder or not?[edit]

Lapin is in the category "Police officers convicted of murder," but the article says that he was convicted only of torture. The Amnesty International page on him also mentions only a conviction for torture. Was Lapin actually convicted of murder? If not, shouldn't he be removed from this category?
