Why confusing, why without reference?[edit]

I know an abriged version of the Mahabharata, and the informations therein about Shalya goes conform with this article. These informations about Shalya are obviously drawn from a full text version of the Mahabharta and since there a so many versions and editions what would it mean to cite any one of them?
