1755 is after 1782?[edit]

According to Gnadenhutten massacre, the massacre happened "on March 8, 1782."

How then could "the Delaware Indians at Shamokin join the war against Pennsylvania and the English after the Gnadenhutten massacre in 1755"?

Something doesn't add up. 2601:281:CC80:5AE0:D92C:1894:5758:2742 (talk) 06:02, 8 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

In the final paragraph this article confuses two different Gnadenhutten incidents. The Gnadenhutten Massacre occurred in 1782, not 1755. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Madtal (talkcontribs) 17:29, 31 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The confusion resulted from the Gnadenhütten massacre (Pennsylvania) (in what is now Lehighton, Pennsylvania) which took place on 24 November, 1755, which was not the Gnadenhutten massacre, which took place at Gnadenhutten, Ohio. This error has been corrected. Cmacauley (talk) 12:51, 25 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
