Did You Know
A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the "Did you know?" column on April 27, 2008.
The text of the entry was: Did you know ...that Sheesh Mahal ("Palace of Mirrors" in English) in Lahore Fort was originally decorated with frescoes that were later replaced with pietra dura and convex glass and mirror mosaic?

2005[edit]

Uh, the article on Aurangzeb and on the Taj Mahal says that Shah Jahan was imprisoned in the Sheesh mahal in the Agra Fort which certainly is _not_ in Pakistan, but those articles link _here_. Is _this_ article pointing to the WRONG sheesh Mahal, or are there TWO halls of mirrors, one in Lahore and one in Agra? Or do we need a disambiguation page? or what? I'm confusedRick Boatright 4 July 2005 00:24 (UTC)

I believe there are more than one Sheesh Mahal. The article links here incorrectly.193.251.135.123 23:29, 15 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Version 0.7[edit]

This article has been nominated for Version 0.7 of the offline Wikipedia release but did not meet the standards for importance. It has been put on Wikipedia:Release_Version_Nominations/Held_nominations for further review. Please see that page for details.

This article could perhaps be used as part of a Lahore Fort collection, but it really doesn't score highly on any of our importance rankings. Please also see my comments at Talk:Naulakha_Pavilion#Version_0.7. Walkerma (talk) 03:38, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Basic English[edit]

I presume the first sentence intends to refer to the country of India, not the adjective "Indian," and to use "which" rather than "with." Incredible that this was published, let alone that other commenters didn't even notice. 76.23.157.102 (talk) 18:52, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Paintings in the Sheesh Mahal[edit]

While the pavilion is famous for its detailed and delicate mirror work, there are lesser known elements of great artistry present within it. The sunken niches in its interior house beautifully rendered narratives relating the stories of events such as Gajendra Moksha and the disrobing of Draupadi, from the Hindu epics, Ramayana and Mahabharata. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Exciteedu (talkcontribs) 07:16, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
