There seems to be some edit-warring over whether Shia should be a redirect to Shia Islam. This would appear to be consistent with the primary topic guideline. However, since there seems to be some dispute among editors, please discuss the pros and cons of this proposal below. Looking at the edit history, it seemed there had been a couple of attempts to redirect the page, which had been reverted (not necessarily within the last few days). However, the editor doing it had not bothered to actually create a disambiguation page, and it certainly would be a mistake to lose the disambiguation content entirely. --Russ(talk) 13:48, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
While I am not sure I would call two edits from a month ago by a grumpy IP an edit war, WP:DAB#NAME would tend to indicate that Shia is the correct location for the disambiguation page as this spot is not already occupied by an article. --Kralizec! (talk) 13:58, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
OK, fine, "edit war" was too strong. And I agree that if there is no primary topic, the current name of the disambiguation page is correct. Ah, you mean to redirect Shia to Shia Islam (or whatever name ends up being ultimately selected for the article), then moving this disambiguation content to Shia (disambiguation)?
