Shinjuku photos

The photos on the Shinjuku page are pretty good, but they are all commercial related.

  • The one of Yasukuni Dori at night is ok. And that certainly is an image that people have of Tokyo.
  • The photo below that says "In the daytime...". Is that supposed to be Yasukuni Dori in the day? I think it's in the electronics area on the western side of Shinjuku station. In that photo, there are almost no people. I would guess it was taken fairly early in the morning. Is it necessary to have two photos of signboards, night and day?
  • The next photo is TMG. Fair enough.
  • Then the skyscrapers of Nishi-Shinjuku. Hmmm...
  • Then another skyscraper shot, from night.

Surely the commercial, skyscraper aspect of Shinjuku is very important. But it is not Shinjuku's only component. I think people looking at the Shinjuku page from abroad, people who have never been to Japan, would not get a fair understanding of all that is Shinjuku. After all, +300,000 live there, there must be some interesting residential areas, with small, crooked, streets. Trees? Green spaces? An empty looking koban? An old wooden house with too many plants and plant boxes out front? The fact that Shinjuku is the busiest train station in the world is played up in the article (is that verifiable?) but there is no photo of Shinjuku station. Etc. etc. etc. Yoroshiku. Too many images

This article have too many images, we really need to remove a few of them. Especially since there are two images showing the same things. Any suggestions on which ones to remove? --Jonte-- 19:14, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Problems

There are several problems with this article that need to be addressed. For example, statements such as "Tokyo's best-known Korean district" are made without any proof. Can someone go through the article and prove these statements? Hephatsheput (talk) 12:29, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
