Incorrect location[edit]

The coordinates in the article does not match with the description given. Also there does not seem to be any railway station called Parkai near Karachi --^{PlaneMad|YakYak} 18:17, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Real temple?[edit]

I've spent years in Karachi, and have visited numerous heritage sites. I've never head of this temple until I saw it on wikipedia. The entire page offers only a single piece of information about the temple: that it stands next to "Parkai station" - which does not exist. The rest is about the story of Siva and the meaning of shakti peeth.

This temple as claimed as a shakti peeth, but its name never seems to appear in lists of such temples. Checking the coordinates shows no temple or train station. Numerous webpages mirror information on this page, and seem to be the only source that this temple even exists. Even a search for Parkai station revelas only information in relation to information mirrored off wikipedia.

Its also worth noting that only two usernames have made substantive edits to this page, and there is a good change they are sockpuppets of each other (first one made an edit in 2009, then another several years later. The first user then coincidentally came back 3 hours later to make another edit. Both are from Bangalore. Its duck evidence, but it seems pretty obvious these are the same person.

Can anyone else confirm that this is/was even a real site? Willard84 (talk) 03:04, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Willard84: Intriguing. It is usually not difficult to verify a WP:HOAX. Your point about the mirror websites is one clue. I did find a passing mention here as a peeth, but it appears to be a self-published ref and the author probably picked it off the internet. Mar4d (talk) 16:25, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
