Reverted IP edit about 500 new items[edit]

@Billinghurst: I am curious why you reverted the inclusion of this material by a new IP editor Special:Contributions/180.129.118.177:

In April 2020, Shopee launched the ready-to-eat food delivery service ShopeeFOOD in Jakarta in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic with over 500 food sellers on board.[1][2] This put Shopee in direct competition with food delivery service providers, like Grab and Gojek, in Jakarta.[3]

It seems like an acceptable addition to me; however, I don't know the sources. Is the issue that the sources are no good? --David Tornheim (talk) 18:33, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Unreliable sources and added by use in a spam-like way that reeks of paid editing or conflict of interest. New IP editor? Really, that bit beggars belief and makes me more suspicious. — billinghurst sDrewth 00:20, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings Shopee is from the Philippines, not Singapore. Singapore (and other) is just subsidiary. Please fix the inaccuracies on this page. Thank you

I'm pretty sure "LJTVEYT" broke the entire article with their nonsensical edits. Their edits should be reverted for vandalism. 180.72.106.143 (talk) 06:42, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This page is a little outdated.

Shopee also exists in Poland – https://shopee.pl/. They have been around for about 2 months now. Poland should be added to the list of countries as well as on the website section where the domains are listed, including the addition of the Polish language.

Seems like they arealso launching in Spain. [4], though I'm not entirely sure how this could be reflected on your page. Witchyoz (talk) 19:20, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: since Wikipedia is not a directory of all existing links of a company's website; and since, being an encyclopedia, this kind would need a reliable source reporting on its significance, because an online trading website being available in multiple languages or countries is rather routine. Current version: Shopee was first launched in Singapore in 2015, and later expanded its reach: as of 2021, it currently serves consumers and sellers throughout Southeast and East Asia, as well as several countries in Latin America, who wish to purchase and sell their goods online.

Proposed version: Shopee was first launched in Singapore in 2015, and has since expanded its reach; as of 2021, it currently serves consumers and sellers throughout Southeast and East Asia, as well as several countries in Europe and Latin America, who wish to purchase or sell their products online.

"Shopee" has had a presence in a fair few countries in Europe for a while now. [5] [6]. 14.7.115.123 (talk) 04:10, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please watch out for COI editing[edit]

Given how aggressive this company's marketing is (at least in my country), I wouldn't be surprised if someone from the company manages (or has already managed) to use this article as an advertisement. The mysterious deletion of the "Controversies" section a few months ago may be promotionally motivated. I tried restoring it in August, but, as I've seen now, someone removed it again, saying I have to take this to the talk page, so here I am. 49.144.197.11 (talk) 08:47, 11 December 2021 (UTC) The page history is worth looking at for suspicious editors as well. 49.144.197.11 (talk) 12:38, 11 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
