Relationship?[edit]

How is Sidney George Fisher (1809-1871) related to Sydney George Fisher (1856-1927), historian?

The link provides several books, one of which I have read in the usual book form. --DThomsen8 (talk) 22:26, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Citation needed tags[edit]

There are now a couple citation needed tags that I don't understand:

  • Jonathan W. White, ed., A Philadelphia Perspective: The Civil War Diary of Sidney George Fisher (New York: Fordham University Press, 2007)[citation needed]
  • A National Currency (J.B. Lippincott & Co., 1864)[citation needed]

I have been at Wikipedia over fifteen years, but I have never seen a citation needed tag placed at the end of a citation. Anythingyouwant (talk) 07:20, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have seen somebody do this once before but I agree it's silly. Hut 8.5 07:31, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi User:Hut 8.5, how about if I remove those two tags, and also the tag at the top of the article? User:Tirock42 seems to want them all there, though. Anythingyouwant (talk) 07:38, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Fine with me. The {{refimprove}} tag seems unnecessary, there are a couple of unsourced statements but almost all the article is covered by inline citations now. Hut 8.5 07:44, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
