Fair use rationale for Image:Siempreselena.jpg[edit]

Image:Siempreselena.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 11:34, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

From reading the article, I can see that it meets the GA criteria. I have made some small copy edit changes, however, the article is still well written.

In full:

  • The prose, spelling and grammar of the article are good. The use of inline quotations is good, as the quotations in the article are not long enough for them to be separated from the text. They fit well in sentences and are always properly attributed.
  • Although the lead does not include any references, the content that the lead talks about is then referenced later in the article. The lead is long but is concise. It gives a good overview of what is then later written about in the article.
  • The reference style and format are well laid out and clear. They all contain in-depth information, including dates, titles and access dates.
  • The references are all to reliable sources. The article mostly cites Billboard but also cites other trusted newspapers. References to websites are limited and only to well-known websites.
  • All statements are properly referenced and no original research is present.
  • All statements copied from sources are properly quoted with quotation marks. There is no obvious copyvio [1].
  • The article covers the major aspects of the album, including criticism and a full background.
  • The article is of a reasonable length and is focused on the album. No splitting of information is needed/apparent.
  • The article is stable.
  • The article only includes one image, which is the album cover. The article does not have many opportunities for image use and free to use images are also hard to find or non-existent for this album. Images such as the artist in concert playing this album are not available, due to the album being a posthumous release.

In summary, I feel that this article meets the GA requirements. Dreamy Jazz 🎷 talk to me | my contributions 21:03, 12 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
