Rental cars

Is it still true that the event allows people to enter rental cars as I have heard stories about people doing so and in another I heard that they are no longer allowed.

There is no formal Silver State rule against entering a rental car, so long as it meets the class requirements for safety. The minimum preparation level is to attach a fire extinguisher which is fairly simple. However, it would almost certainly be a breach of the car rental company's terms and conditions. Feature cars

• I was thinking as I do not live in the US, the only other three cars I know that entered the SSCC is the "Big Red" Camaro, the white ‎Lotus Carlton from the UK and the Blitz Skyline R348 from Japan of 1999 by that Inada guy, would it be a good idea to mention the cars as a separate entry as that Camaro has its own website and being in numerous magazines. Inada and the fanboi

Enough with the fanboi stuff. So Inada brought a hopped up 350Z, crashed it before the race even started, and seriously pissed off a lot of other drivers with his attitude. That was the second time he crashed, the first one being caused by dropping the car into 3rd gear at 120+ with a burst rear tyre (that's a bad idea, in case you hadn't guessed). If you want to write an article about Inada, go ahead - there isn't one written yet. But this article is about the Silver State Classic.--NNH 07:58, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

As a Z enthusiast and a Z-car club member from "across the pond", I do not intend to act like a fanboy, as I am more interested in that car. But I am very interested in knowing about his attitude to other drivers in that event as that is something I never heard about, as my Japanese is not good enough to read Option? As that has never been mentioned in import magazines, all it mentions is that Inada wants to break the record. All I was asking is to ask for more info about the car in the article about the magazine. PS, I say that bit and as I do not have an account, Inada is more street racer than pro racer judging by a friend's point of view, that bit which mentions he's big budget, from Japan does remind me of that IMSA GTP days in the early 90s. I will have a proper read of that thread sometimes in the day. And he is known by the drifting commune. PS feel free to write that in the controversy bit as that is not vandalism. Cut down on featured cars

I think we could cut back here. Inada's old Skyline and Pettit's Buick are pretty minor history. Big Red is clearly a significant part of the event's history, and I can sort of see the case for Inada's latest car. NNH 21:40, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
