Recipients of the Silver Wolf Award[edit]

These recipients of the Silver Wolf Award did I find in the archived newspapers on www.kb.nl

Sir Douglas Mawson was was a recipient - his award is on display in the South Australian Museum. Although the wolf looks dark I assume it's made of actual silver and is tarnished, as his Antarctic activities were in the right time period (pre-WWI) and the ribbon looks like the pattern for the silver wolf award not the bronze wolf.

Could someone please link the "Silver Wolf Award" page to the "Recipients of the Grey Wolf Award" page?

Other online images of silver/bronze wolf awards show it hanging the other way - wolf head toward the viewer's left - so is the image in this article showing the award hung/worn incorrectly?

You might be right. Also looks like Scouts Canada presents the same award.[5] ---— Gadget850 (Ed) talk 11:38, 25 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

chart[edit]

The list should be charted out like this, it would look crisper and easier to read:

award number year awarded name office representing
1 1935 Lord Baden-Powell Chief Scout of the World Chief Scout of the World
113 1976 Kenneth H. Stevens Chief Executive Commissioner, United Kingdom United Kingdom

unrestricted gift of the Chief Scout[edit]

How has the changed role of the Chief Scout affected the awarding of this award? Bogger (talk) 10:14, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Recipients list[edit]

The recipients list is largely unsourced and unverified. Rather than requiring a source for each entry, it would be acceptable to use a published list of the recipients instead. Is there one? Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 11:05, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
