16th, 18th, or both?[edit]

Can someone please explain the issue regarding "Simon the 18th and 16th Lord", thanks. Andy Dingley (talk) 23:35, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

He's the 18th clan chief unofficially and the 16th clan chief officially due to two earlier clan chiefs forfeiting the title

PROD[edit]

I've added six sources to the article so the BLPProd is now invalid. Only one of them (the Scotsman reference) would count as SIGCOV by my analysis though. Part of the issue with finding sources is that there were two clan chiefs who forfeited the title, hence the 16th 18th Lord thing, and searching for references for "16th Lord Lovat" brings up references for Simon Fraser, 14th Lord Lovat, (who would be 16th if the two forfeited clan chiefs are counted) CiphriusKane (talk) 15:19, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
