Erotic?[edit]

This film is currently described as a "psychological erotic thriller film", but "erotic" does not seem to me to be a prominent aspect of the movie as a whole. Ripounet (talk) 20:12, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I imagine I saw this film at some point, it apparently made no impact. In any case, since "erotic" doesn't occur in the article anywhere else and doesn't seem to be discussed directly, I'm guessing the description is there based on the category (or the other way around).
Categories are supposed to be added based on WP:DEFINING characteristics, those that reliable sources "commonly and consistently define the subject as having]]. Do reliable sources commonly and consistently say this is a "psychological erotic thriller"? Of the sources we have, only EW calls it an "erotic thriller". That's all I found. Then again, we don't exactly have an extensive list of prose sources here.
I'd suggest letting this sit for any other comments for a few days to see if anyone is watching the article. If no one has anything to say, do as you will. - SummerPhDv2.0 23:10, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I remember hearing that in the source novel, there was a lesbian thread to the story (i.e., Allie and Hedy may have been lovers); but I couldn't augment the article as I haven't read SWF Seeks Same by John Lutz.
