Album ordinals?

Are we counting Singularity as the third or fourth album? (The Everglow is listed as Mae's third full-length release on its own page, which is why I listed Singularity as fourth.) I guess it's a tossup as to whether Destination: B-Sides counts as a "full-length release" or not, right? What does everyone think? Cathryn 10:18, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

I wouldn't consider B-sides a full-length release. It's half-live, for one, so it's definitely not a normal studio album. It's more of a combination of a compilation/remix album. Note that The Everglow article says it's the second "main" release and third overall. This should probably be changed... It seems a little silly to keep more than one count, considering all the minor releases that could be included. I'd trim the text for the major studio releases, and wouldn't keep a count at all for minor releases (instead placing them in context by using either release year or album they preceded, etc). --Fru1tbat 15:44, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

I'm going to agree. B-Sides are additional albums, but I do no consider them to be a full-length release like you said Cathryn. I consider it more as an EP, Maybe it should be reflected in the Mae Template. --DJREJECTED 23:31, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Release date?

What's this about a June release? Does the source have any validity? I haven't heard anything about a later release on the MaeTeam boards or from Benji on the whatismae.com journal, which are usually pretty trustworthy places. What in the world is iSound? (I guess I'm just trying to express a general sense of distrust for this new tidbit and looking for stronger confirmation.) Cathryn 10:36, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

I don't know how official it is, but IndieVisionMusic lists June 5 as the release date. Anyone notice that Jacob references this article in his MaeTeam comment, by the way? --Fru1tbat 14:42, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

I did see that. Made me happy. It also makes me wonder how often they're checking back on it...and if they ever edit... :) As far as the IndieVisionMusic link goes: I've been thinking about it, and early June makes sense. MaeTeam links

A lot of the information I'm getting is from the MaeTeam website--however, most content on the site is unavailable to unregistered members. How do I cite the information? For now I've been posting the actual forum links, but they're no good to anyone not registered. Is this a problem? (To be fair, registration is free & open to everyone--it's just a pain to have a "dead link" of sorts when you're expecting a real website.) Is there a better way to cite the quotes/info? Tooth & Nail

If Capitol Records is releasing this album, why is Tooth & Nail still listing Mae on their website and sending out emails promoting this CD? Is this CD being released by both T&N and Capitol? --Idont Havaname (Talk) 22:10, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
