External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Skylarking. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Twitter[edit]

Just going to note this recent Andy Partridge tweet:

Just got to read Wiki entry for SKYLARKING. Woah! so much wrong or mistaken about it. Too much to relate here. And if I read once more that SKYLARKING saved our career in the US, I shall puke.It didn't, the DEAR GOD B side did.

Half the article consists of direct quotes from the man himself, so... I have to guess that he's referring to Rundgren's statements.--Ilovetopaint (talk) 16:42, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Skylarking[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Skylarking's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 11:21, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sleeve Design[edit]

"Partridge said, "I stole this very tasteful print from a classics concert in 1953 done by a chap called Hans Erney [sic]."

The actual name of the artist is Hans Erni (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hans_Erni), hence the "sic" added to the cited interview text. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.246.3.168 (talk) 16:38, 15 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Factually incorrect[edit]

This line: "Dear God" was not included on original pressings of Skylarking, but it was always intended to be on the album. is factually incorrect, regardless what someone may have opined three decades after the fact. "Dear God" was left off the album by Rundgren and was released as a 12" single b/w "Extrovert" — which hit on college radio. Geffen subsequently booked ass to resequence the album including the hit track.

Nice article beyond this error, but it is quite a howler. Carrite (talk) 05:34, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
