Hypervisor?[edit]

Is SmartOS really a hypervisor? Reading the documentation, it seems like it's just an OS with good support for containers. Since containers aren't VMs, this isn't really a hypervisor. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sirens of mimas (talkcontribs) 03:22, 29 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Is it really free? Their website indicates you have to pay for it.

Where is this "free" version? It's not free if a trial is involved which ultimately expects you to still pay for it.

I think this article should be revised.

Yes, is free, free as the Source code is available at GitHub (the CDDL is DFSG-compatible). The software can be downloaded for no fee, but the cloud-based services provided requires payment (just like AWS or Google Cloud Platform). --Amitie 10g (talk) 22:52, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
