"The previous record of 216 kilograms (480 lb) belongs to Antonio Krastev from Bulgaria, but after the weight classes were reshuffled, this older record is no longer recognized by the IWF." why isn't the record recognized?
when they reshuffle weight classes they no longer count as the bodyweight requirements have changed. a record at 108kg bodyweight can't be a record at 105kg bodyweight as thats a 3 kg difference, which can have a big impact on weight lifted. this is why superheavyweights are such, as more weight (controversially for some) equals bigger lifts. World Standard[edit]
The tables with current world records attribute 7 world records (3 for men, 4 for women) to "World Standard". The article suffers from a lack of explanation of what "World Standard" means in that context. 5.57.21.8 (talk) 17:10, 14 January 2020 (UTC)
