List of flavors[edit]

Recommend rework of this section as the list is going to be ridiculous to manage and doesn't really add much info. Really anyone could come up with a new flavour at any time, which presumably the competing establishments do. Better than list would be discussion of historical/traditional flavors, most popular flavors, evolution of flavours, &c., if that's available anywhere. -- B.S. "Famous"[edit]

Looking at the article, I see an issue with the Famous New Orleans sno-ball stands section. I think some measures should be taken, because the way I see it, companies can slip in advertising without actually being notable enough. The table lists only one stand with an article, and the others have citations that are based on opinion and are not needed.

  • "Companies can slip in advertising without actually being notable enough" - While I am not from NOLA I suspect that someone has done just this for "Sno-la" and specific products of theirs. 47.138.208.114 (talk) 11:19, 24 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps we could just list stands with articles (as they did here), or remove the section altogether. Thanks! --Zhangj1079 (T|C) 18:41, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

BOLD edit for removing promotional material[edit]

Hello all,

As per the last two discussions, I will move to BOLDly edit the page and remove the "variations" and "Famous" subheadings. Currently, it appears that these are being used almost completely for promotional purposes, with little to none third-party citations or notability standards built in. Please let me know if there is a better way to construct this with sources for the future. Thanks!

This page is essentially propaganda for Hansen's Sno-blizz[edit]

The evidence shows baltimore invented the snowball, not louisiana.

"Walther Gardens snowball stand can be dated back to 1923, while Hansen’s Sno-blizz was opened in 1939."
