Comment: Any alternative hook suggestions or suggestions for better phrasing are welcome. I considered putting an ALT1 around Thorburn's penalty and the reason for it, but I wasn't sure if that would be regarded as unduly negative about a living person.

I would suggest that a new hook be proposed as the current one has a very limited audience (i.e. it's probably not going to interest those who aren't snooker fans). Perhaps Lee Vilenski can help suggest something more suitable? Narutolovehinata5 ^tccsdnew 10:33, 6 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your consideration Narutolovehinata5 and Lee Vilenski. I think I originally overestimated the appeal of this article to the public at large and it's probably best to quietly withdraw the DYK nomination.
