comment[edit]

Some of this reads a bit like it was copied from a press release? Angmering 12:01, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sanctioned?[edit]

Is the match being sanctioned by the FA? They're wearing the official kit with the World Cup star, does this mean that the team will be official? Will Robby Williams etc. have an official England cap?

I'm not sure if it's "sanctioned" - I doubt the fact that wearing the official kit will make it an official match. They would just have needed permission from Umbro / the FA. As for winning official caps - no way! Even the players in tonight's England v Belarus 'B' international (Ashley Cole, Owen, James, Campbell, etc) won't be getting caps as its not a full international, so I really don't think these "celebrities" will get caps.--Ukdan999 23:31, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rules[edit]

"The rules are changed on the fly to allow each team five ex-pros on the pitch at once."

What were the rules before that? I only saw bits of the game..... ChrisTheDude 07:42, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Title[edit]

This event was held in England, so why soccer aid and not football aid?

Because "Football Aid" is already a registered charity. violet/riga (t) 09:30, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just to summarise what I've done over the past day or so:

Corrected some goal data (from a number of sources)
Completed 2014's match information
Will try my best to add the missing shirt numbers from 2006 and 2008 from videos/photos shortly!

Alessandro Del Piero was confused with Angelos Charisteas in 2014, so I went ahead and swapped the names around. TrendBronco (talk) 06:38, 29 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Runner-up[edit]

Is the runner-up column in the games summary table at the start really necessary? It seems rather obvious to me. Max263 (talk) 22:09, 12 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Soccer Aid Matches[edit]

Is there any place where you can watch previous matches in full? Thanks 2A02:C7E:1E07:8D00:780E:AF44:4A58:7340 (talk) 16:43, 19 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
